We're all terrified of getting old got that wrinkled up skin and a warn out soul was a man on the corner said he had seen it all aint nobody there to save him when from grace he falls he told me don't waste away your life as i have done the older you become the clearer you'll see he said hold on to love and raise your children to become the type of man your father was
3.
When will I die i hope its not too soon what will it matter to me if im gone will i be aware that there are people who still live and up in heaven who is writing all them songs? Caryy me until the dawn cuts gentle if only just to drown out my heart comfort me, with your sweet conviction watch ver me cause im breaking apart
4.
First things first lets cut to the chase 3 years without booze and I still can't save face i thought i could run from the wretch Id become and avaoid falling victim to the lust of its gun but instead its pressed firm to the side of my neck now it's loaded and heavy my palms damp with sweat i carry it softly don't wanna startle them yet cause when i pull the trigger there's no turning back

Use The Pain 04:50
Felt as if Id dug a hole and dove right in head first without a thought as to how much that leaps was gonna hurt me i felt as if i had no one to love me the way that i Know i should truth is my heart can't handle to much of something that is good i need the pain to keep my feet from running out from underneath my frame i need the hurt to see the beauty that all my shame contains i need the light of life to blind me carry me through my darkest days as much as i need love as much as i need love i sure could use the pain
6.
Well I aint too old but i sure aint to ypoun i got more questions than answers aint many races I've won but im learning to live and i am dying unstrung amidst and among the ones who can't bite our tongues
7.
All my old friends they're all dead and gone and the days aren't getting less hard i wake up to the simple sounds of hate and lord it is wearing on my heart but i know she don't mean it that don't make things easy on me i was a bastard in my past yea thats for certain but she stood at my side, every time id need so i aint goin nowhere without you by my side you may have lost your memory of all our good times but i haven't yet lost mine
8.
Her father always warned her don't go chasing lovers you're worth more than any other simple piece of naked ski and if you settle for a man who aint got the fight inside him well you might earn yourself a prize that nobody wants to win your minds as pretty as the wind you get your smile from your mother if he don't tell you that he loves you keep your heart safe for another cause your your mamas daughter there aint no better catch than that
9.
Her walls are as strong as a song built on sorrow her engines run wild on time that is borrowed and she's taken me this far whats one more tomorrow?
10.
11.
She got something that was worthwhile
12.
I heard you lost your mother I feel like I just saw her and i know there aint no words to make this any better just be sure, to look after your brother I know that heaven does exist aint no other explanation that could ease the pain or make any sense i hope that it does exist, and for whatever reason she was called home by them

about

Worked hard on this one. Telling stories and thinking/writing about the human condition is what makes me happiest. Hope you dig it.
