This song I wrote for my grandparents who are first and second generation Italians living in America. My grandmother always wanted to visit
Italy, and most likely never will, so I wrote this for her.

I wait all every day to go
but as the years they pass
it was then I realized
that all I need is you at my side
It was the second of the month
December 1961
when two kids tied the knot
not knowing then just what they had done
and as the years went passed
they began to realize
the family they had raised had now raised families of their own
and they hoped their sons and daughter could feel the pride they've always known
when I got you hear with me
I feel young and I feel free
when it's you thats next to me
Ain't a place in the world that I'd rather be
but as the years went passed
it was more plain for me to see
in our hearts, we're already in Italy

and I knew then that
it was perfect
just to wrap you in my arms
and I knew then that
i'll always love you
until the day we leave this world
But until then o
please say you'll let me
uphold the vows to have and to hold
inside our hearts
we can travel
anywhere that we want to go
